As many of you might know, I started college this year. I'm at Dordt College, studying Elementary Education and Art...and I love it! I had an amazing first semester. :) When I left, I decided to take a break from this blog because I was unsure if I would be able to keep it up while at school. Well, the jury's still out on whether or not I'm going to keep posting here regularly during the school year. It's difficult to take daily outfit photos while at college, not to mention my outfits aren't always interesting enough to be posted.

However, I started a new blog, beautiful_eclectic, which I hope to post on semi-regularly. This blog will be more of a lifestyle, instead of fashion, blog. I'll be posting favorite quotes, pretty pictures, DIY projects, etc. I wanted to tell you all thank you for reading, and I hope you will take the time to stop by beautiful_eclectic. ♥

I've been wearing jeans a lot lately, so today I decided a skirt would be a good change of pace.

Tonight, I'm watching a Shakespeare play with family and friends. Antony and Cleopatra. I'm really excited because I was super interested in Cleopatra when I was younger. Also, here's a fun fact I found out: today is the anniversary of Cleopatra's death! Apparently, although no one knows when she was born, the exact date of her death is known to be August 12th.

There's a manicure blog party over at Thrifty and Shameless today! Here's what my nails currently look like. Just a fun look...unfortunately, I chipped the polish at work the other day (washing dishes...bleh) And I used up my polish remover last week. Boo.

This afternoon, I saw my manager at the grocery store and she told me that I looked like Audrey Hepburn. That made my day. ;]

So remember when I was all like I-thought-my-camera-died-but-then-I-fixed-it? Well, it turns out that I didn't actually fix it. At least, it didn't STAY fixed....(it was okay and able to take pictures for a few hours!!) =p Soooooo outfit posts will be MIA for a few days/weeks.

Almost immediately after these pictures were taken, the camera was dropped in a bucket of water...possibly by me..(it was an accident, I swear!) but I was able to fix it. (I love you, Google.) It's completely fine now, and I was able to upload these pictures with no problems. Yayyyy.

At the last second, I added this wristband to make the outfit a little more interesting. I made it from a sock a few years ago, inspired by AnnaSophia Robb's sock arm warmers in Bridge to Terabithia. Any other ASR fans out there? I love her! She's a great actress, and she wears cute clothes too. ;]

Yay, more pattern mixing. I paired these shirts together then just threw on the necklace cuz I was like, "hey, I've already got florals + stripes, why not add a fuschia necklace?"
