•Gotta tic? ya know, biting your nails, scrunching your nose, etc? I drum my fingers a lot.
•Pen or pencil? Pencil! I like to be able to erase my mistakes. =p

I wore this on Sunday. Just felt like a little pattern mixing... and yay! I broke out my gladiator sandals.

what a way to make a living

I thought it would be fun to show you all what I typically wear to work.

My uniform consists of a polo shirt (yup, it's really ugly...), and apron, and a visor. These items are kept at the store, so I have to wear shirts that a polo will fit over. I generally wear t-shirts or tank tops. Skirts aren't practical, of course, so I go with jeans. Footwear has to be comfortable, as I'm on my feet for 5+ hours at a time. I often wear my Converse sneakers, but these boots are also a favorite. They're soooo comfy, even though they aren't that stylish...=p Lastly, I wear some sort of sweater/hoodie so I don't have to walk to my car in 40 degree weather, at 10 PM, in just a tank top, haha.

Well, there you have it. A simple and practical outfit that I would never wear outside of work. ;] I'm not that into simple or practical, I guess...haha.

I have an Elvis shirt and (although you can't see them) my socks have rainbow stripes. There's just something so cheery about rainbow socks. ;]

Friend Friday: Vacations!

1. When it comes to packing for vacation what’s your mantra?

Stuff everything that will fit into a suitcase. It works well. =p

2. What are your must packs?

I usually bring along my art supplies so I can get a little drawing in. =D

3. What are you happy to leave behind?

Schoolwork.....

4. Any packing secrets that help you get everything into one
suitcase?

Rolled clothes usually fit better than folded, and you get less wrinkles as well. Place small items inside shoes. Sit on the suitcase while zipping it up, haha.

5. Beach reading… what are you taking with you to read in the sand?

Sarah Dessen is amazing and fun. I just recently discovered Kristin Hannah, and wow I love her books.

1. How often do you get your hair cut?

Not often enough...heh.
2. Do you go to the same stylist each time, try someone new, go to the
cheap hair cutting chains or live it up in a salon?

I cut it myself, haha. Because it's curly, it's super easy to cut...no worrying about straight lines.

3. Do you color your hair? How often? What’s your natural color?

I've never dyed my hair. Thought about it a couple of times, but never taken the plunge. I'm a natural brunette.

4. The one thing you always do to keep your hair looking great is:

Tons of conditioner. Tons.

5. What hair trend do you love and wish you could rock?

Pixie cut! À la Audrey Hepburn and Natalie Portman...but It would never work on me.

Oh my gosh, you guys. The saddest thing happened. So I had these Star Wars temporary tattoos(I kinda have an obsession with temporary tattoos....) but they're really old and when I tried to put one on today, Anakin's head didn't transfer! It was a headless Anakin. The poor little guy...

On a lighter note, today is paint your nails blue day! Always one to celebrate random events, I painted my fingernail blue. They look awesome.

Friend Friday: blog pet peeves

This week's friend friday topic is pet peeves. I really only have one, but it's an important one!
Bad spelling/grammar. I immediatly lose respect for people with spelling or grammar mistakes in their blog posts. Oh, and your and you're are two DIFFERENT words, everybody needs to memorize the difference and use these words properly!

breaking free

This van broke down several years ago and has been sitting in our backyard since then. One day I thought to myself, "hey, wouldn't it be cool to use it as a prop in a photoshoot?" So I did. The end.

Awkward/Awesome Thursday

Awkward:

~Not really hearing/understanding what this guy said and trying to bluff my way through the rest of the conversation and not succeeding.

~My left eye hurting and itching and basically making me miserable all night.

~Hitting a car while trying to park. I'm so embarrassed/annoyed at myself right now. The car's owner was sooo sweet about it though and his car wasn't damaged much.

AWESOME:

~Babysitting several adorable kids.

~Girly email exchanges with a friend. ;]

~Rediscovering how adorable Nick Jonas is, thanks to this post...."Won't you fly with me?"...
