Belle's Wardrobe: hair accessory

Today's Belle's Wardrobe post features a tatted hair piece that my lovely sister made. Isn't it beautiful?

The yellow makes me think of Belle and I tried to style my hair like she has hers in the ballroom scene. I wanted to use Elizabeth's tutorial, but my hair wasn't quite long enough for it to work! Oh well... =D

I can't let the Belle event end without posting the ballroom scene. I've always loved this scene so much! The dress, the music, the room! Everything is so gorgeous and romantic. <3

Padme: An Online Event

I am pleased to announce that from October 4th-9th I will be hosting my first online fashion event!

Padme: An Online Event

I have always loved the character of Padme Amidala from the Star Wars* prequels. Not only is she intelligent and beautiful, she wears beautiful clothes! From flowing dresses to cloaks to pink feathers, she is a great fashion inspiration. This fashion week is to celebrate Padme's lovely outfits.

Each day of the event there will be a linky widget for you to link up your posts to.

There will be four categories to enter:

~Padme related post: This could be anything from poetry, to articles, to artwork.

~Padme fashion post: You could dress up as Padme, post about your favorite outfit, post a "modern Padme" outfit, or post about anything related to Padme's clothes and style.

~Padme crafts: you could make Padme-inspired crafts, such as jewelry, costumes, or artwork

~Leia post: Because I love Princess Leia as well, I decided to have a separate category dedicated to her. Post about anything Leia!

After the end of the week, I will set up a poll and you all can vote on the best of each category. Prizes will be announced shortly.

I love this tunic because it all blue until you get to the hem and there's a bright red seahorse there! =D

Belle's Wardrobe: day one

Today is the first day of the Belle's Wardrobe Fashion Event. This week is going to be so cool. Belle is my favorite Disney princess and I'm excited that she's getting her own fashion event. =]

Two things that remind me of Belle are roses and the color yellow. Roses play a large part in the story and the beautiful ball gown she wears while dancing with the Beast is yellow. For today's outfit I chose a yellow top and a copper ring with a rose on it.

Isn't this ring gorgeous? It's been one of my favorites for awhile now.
